Reader’s note: this page is a working draft for the studio, not legal advice. A lawyer should review it before launch.
1. Who we are
Leash & Loom is an independent studio. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Orders
An order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we send the confirmation email, or when the piece enters production, whichever comes first. If we cannot accept an order, we will refund any payment already taken.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and may change without notice. Payment is taken at checkout through our payment provider. Duties and taxes charged on import are the customer’s responsibility.
4. Custom orders
- Custom work begins with a deposit, which is non-refundable once design or production starts.
- Custom and made-to-measure pieces are final sale.
- We will confirm sizes, colors, and timing in writing before production.
5. Making and shipping
Most pieces are made in 2 to 3 days and then shipped with a tracked service. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees. Risk passes to you when the parcel is delivered to the carrier, but we will help with any lost or damaged parcel.
6. Returns
Returns are governed by our Shipping & returns page. Custom pieces are excluded.
7. Product descriptions
We describe materials and colors as accurately as we can. Handwoven pieces vary slightly in texture and tone. Screens show color differently, and small variation is not a defect.
8. Intellectual property
Our text, photographs, illustrations, and designs belong to Leash & Loom. You may share links and images for personal, non-commercial use. Do not copy our designs or photographs for commercial use without written permission.
9. Your content
If you send a story or photograph for Memories, you keep ownership. You give us permission to publish it with the credit and privacy setting you choose. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not responsible for indirect losses. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law.
11. Refusing an order
We may refuse or cancel an order when we suspect fraud, chargeback abuse, or repeated abusive returns. We may also close an account for the same reasons. This does not limit any rights you have under consumer law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable where our studio operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page when you place an order.
